The Aroveda Hammered Copper Water Bottle is a 950 ml (32 oz) bottle made from 99.96% pure copper, independently lab-tested by SGS. It is handcrafted by artisans in Moradabad, India — the country's traditional copperware centre — in a facility licensed by the Bureau of Indian Standards under IS 17803:2022.
The inside is bare copper with no lining or coating, so water stays in direct contact with the metal. Each bottle is hand-hammered, which strengthens the walls and gives every piece its own pattern.

How do I know an Aroveda bottle is really pure copper?
Our copper was tested by SGS, an independent international laboratory, and measured at 99.96% copper. The full report is downloadable on this page. Bottles are made in a facility licensed by the Bureau of Indian Standards under IS 17803:2022, India's standard for copper drinkware.
Does the bottle have a lining or coating inside?
No. The interior is bare copper. Many low-cost copper bottles use a lacquer or inner lining, which stops water from touching the copper. Ours does not.
How should I use a copper water bottle?
Fill it with plain drinking water at room temperature and let it stand for 6–8 hours, for example overnight. Use it for water only — avoid juices, lemon water, milk, carbonated drinks and hot liquids, and do not put it in the dishwasher.
Why does my copper bottle change colour?
Copper naturally darkens as it reacts with air and water. This patina is normal and does not mean the bottle is damaged. Rub it with lemon and salt, rinse, and dry to restore the shine.
